the ground is white now up towards maryland. white ground for sure. several inches-snow has added up towards the blue ridge. the end of the precipitation is now in far southwestern virginia. we'll be keeping a close eye on this through the remainder of the day. total snow accumulation potentials today. as much as six to nine inches in a few spots west of interstate 81. about four to six inches on average. that stretch will go up to parts of northern frederick county as well. two to four inches central and northern montgomery county out towards dulles airport. maybe an inch on the grass. the closer to the metro area and down into portions of southern maryland and along the bay side, not much if anything on the way of accumulations. roadbeds are warm, the snow will come down hard enough to cover the roads and make them slushy for a time. temperatures below freezing could make a slippery start first thing tomorrow morning as well. we'll keep you posted all day long in the storm center. >> watch that speed if you plan on hitting the pavement. we're going
